Novel Approach to a Gore-Tex Fixated IOL With Use of Pediatric Bowman Probe

Show Description +

One of the hardest things to perform is a glued IOL or sutured IOL procedure without an assistant. This new approach shows surgeons how to perform complex surgery by using old surgical tools such as a basic pediatric Bowman probe. This allows the surgeon to do all maneuvers without the need for a 3rd or 4th hand from the assistant.

Hi thanks for the great video. With regards to IOL choice, do you choose the power which would give emmetropia if placed in the capsular bag, or is an adjustment in IOL power necessary due to the effective lens position which this suturing technique results in?
