Altan A. Ozcan, MD, presents a complication associated with capsular tension ring (CTR) implantation after placement of capsule retractors. During attempted removal of one capsule retractor, it was discovered that the CTR had passed through the retractor's distal loop. However, gentle manipulation and rotation of the CTR through the distal loop of the retractor resulted with atraumatic removal of the capsule retractor.
