Fritz H. Hengerer, MD, PhD, overviews the concept of the Flexivue Microlens (Presbia) for presbyopia correction. After implanting the Microlens in the nondominant eye, Dr. Hengerer says that he and his colleagues have seen perfect UNVA and stable UDVA up to 20/20. Ideal patients, he says, are presbyopic and slightly hyperopic or are emmetropic after LASIK surgery.
