Brandon Ayres, MD, demonstrates an IOL exchange in a vitrectomized eye with an optic captured IOL. He shows the technique for suture of an AO60 IOL using 23G valved trochars and 8-0 Gore-tex suture. The instruments used for the suture technique include the MST 25G Snyder grasper and the 23G micro holder.

What is the calibre of the Gore-tex suture?

Great video and great surgery, well done. But why use triescence? Why not Kenalog? Such a waste of money to use something that costs 20 x as much when it is only in there for a few seconds.
